Membership Information

Regular Membership is designed for licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) who are actively engaged in trauma care and committed to advancing excellence in trauma nursing practice. As a voting member of the Society of Trauma Nurses (STN), you play a direct role in shaping the future of the organization and the profession.

Regular Members are leaders and frontline clinicians across the trauma continuum. Bringing expertise, advocacy, and innovation to trauma systems locally, nationally, and internationally.

Associate Membership is designed for individuals who are passionate about trauma care and the advancement of trauma nursing but are not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse. This non-voting membership category provides an opportunity to engage with the Society of Trauma Nurses (STN), access valuable educational resources, and stay connected to the latest developments in trauma care.

Associate Members may include nursing students, healthcare professionals from related disciplines, researchers, educators, administrators, and others who support the mission of trauma nursing.

International Membership is designed for trauma nursing professionals outside the United States who want to stay connected to a global network of leaders in trauma care. Members receive access to a wide range of benefits, including professional development resources, educational programs, networking opportunities, and discounted conference registration. While this membership does not include a printed subscription to the Journal of Trauma Nursing (JTN), members have full digital access to the journal, including current issues, searchable archives, and printable articles.

Student Membership is designed for individuals currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program who have an interest in trauma care and the future of trauma nursing. This membership category offers a valuable opportunity to connect with professionals in the field, explore career pathways, and begin building a strong foundation in trauma nursing.

The Society of Trauma Nurses (STN) offers a Try Before You Buy membership option for individuals interested in exploring the value of membership before making a full commitment. This limited-time opportunity allows prospective members to experience the benefits, resources, and professional community that STN provides.

The ATCN Trial Membership is an exclusive, complimentary six-month membership offered to eligible nurses who have successfully completed the Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) course.

This special membership is our way of recognizing your commitment to advancing your trauma knowledge and clinical excellence. It provides full access to valuable Society of Trauma Nurses (STN) member benefits, allowing you to further expand your professional development and engagement within the trauma nursing community.

The PTACC Trial Membership is an exclusive, complimentary six-month membership offered to eligible nurses who have successfully completed the Pediatric Trauma Across the Care Continuum (PTACC) course.
